Lifecycle Stage

A defined position in a member's discipleship and integration journey — from first-time guest to mature ministry leader.

Full Explanation

The Member Lifecycle describes the predictable journey a person takes from their first contact with a church to becoming a mature, multiplying disciple and ministry leader. Understanding and tracking lifecycle stages allows churches to provide appropriate pastoral care and development opportunities at each phase.

Common lifecycle stages: - First-Timer (Guest): Has attended 1-3 times, relationship not yet established - New Convert (Investigating): Committed to Christ or newly exploring faith, beginning discipleship - Baptised Member (Established): Has made public covenant with the community - Worker (Active): Serving in a ministry role, growing in responsibility - Leader (Multiplying): Developing others, leading teams, reproducing ministry

Each stage requires different pastoral interventions, communication styles, and developmental resources. Lifecycle tracking prevents the common error of treating all members the same regardless of their spiritual maturity or integration depth.

Why It Matters

Discipleship is a process, not an event. Without lifecycle tracking, churches either overwhelm new believers with responsibilities they're not ready for, or fail to challenge mature members to grow.

How ChurchTab Implements This

ChurchTab's Lifecycle Intelligence module allows every member to have a stage designation. The system tracks movement between stages and automatically suggests next steps — escalating to pastoral attention when stage progression stalls.
